In Nomine took journalists from Tallinn to see the Jõelähtme landfill. The Jõelähtme landfill of Tallinn Waste Recovery Centre AS is Estonia’s largest producer of compost from biowaste.
In 2022, 63 000 tonnes of waste was still being landfilled and 109 600 tonnes was being recycled, but by 2030, waste that’s landfilled is hoped to have reduced to 10 000 tonnes – everything must be recycled!
